The Kraft Group chairperson and CEO, Robert Kraft, was born in 1941 in Brookline. Notably, Kraft is a re-known businessman in America and other outside countries. His firm is a diversified company that deals with assets in sports and entertainment, real estate, paper and packaging, among others. However, many know The Kraft Group as an ideal firm that deals with private equity portfolios. Despite having built his name as a businessman, Robert Kraft is known by many for his holdings in the “National Football League’s New England Patriots” as well as other Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution. Additionally, Robert Kraft is known for their effort to renovate Gillette Stadium.
Currently, Robert sits in the board of directors’ meetings at “Viacom and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.” Besides, Robert Kraft is a trustee of Boston College, not forgetting Columbia University, where he serves as the trustee emeritus.
Robert joined Brookline high school, where he graduated in 1959. He was later admitted to Columbia University on scholarship graduating in 1963. Mr Robert also attended Harvard Business School for his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. While at the University, Robert Kraft engaged in the school’s lightweight football games. In 1964, Robert married Myra, a graduate of the University of Brandeis. Notably, Robert’s love for football has grown with him being a New York Giants fan since he was young.
Kraft started his career at Rand-Whitney Group, a packaging firm based in Worcester owned by his father-in-law. Despite starting his firm, Robert still serves as the chairperson at Rand-Whitney. Kraft founded International Forest Products in 1972, a company that focuses on physical paper commodities. These two companies have formed the biggest privately owned paper and packaging companies located in the United States of America. Robert decided to purchase a parcel near the stadium in 1985.
