- In 1988, he published “Indian Development: Trends and Prospects,” a book based on his Ph.D. dissertation. Krishen Iyer has also published other books related to economics, such as “Innovation and Growth: A Study of the Indian Economy” and “Growth, Poverty, Inequality.”
He has also co-authored two books with his wife, Dr. Sujata Iyer. The first is on the subject of inequality and poverty in India, entitled “Income Inequality in India: What Explanations Exist.” The second by Krishen Iyer is entitled “An Alternative Path to Economic Development in India,” published by Oxford University Press. Krishen Iyer’s research interests are economics, public policy, and growth issues.
