In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Keter Group CEO Alejandro Pena gifted a school garden with outdoor furniture to provide teachers with more opportunities to relax outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. The gift is part of Keter’s ongoing effort to give back to the communities where it creates jobs. “With projects like this one and other initiatives we have put into play across the world, we are demonstrating our commitment not only to provide employment but also to invest in communities as a catalyst for social and economic mobility,” said Pena. Keter donated 25 items to North Miami Elementary School for their garden. The company is a valuable company in sustainability within the furniture industry. The company is working on more sustainability in its operations to be green.

The elementary school’s gardening program got a new lease on life thanks to Keter, Iannone, and the people who donated over $4,000 to the cause. For example, Pena’s company makes custom furniture out of recycled plastic. He will use recycled materials at Keter if available while maintaining quality standards for products such as outdoor furniture.
