Don Manifold founded Manifold Advisory Partners to be an anchor against the uncertain world, and their magazine is one of the ways they manifest their vision. Don was born in Adelaide. He has a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He works with mergers, acquisitions and in-house talent, to help ensure their clients’ future. His extensive experience in business strategy and planning is what fuels his passion for the industry and his work.
To this effect, he works with businesses across all industries and their staff. His strategic approach is always aimed at the needs of the business, but also to align with their vision and strategy. Don Manifold thinks the key to a successful career in management is enhanced by the following four points.
Flexibility
Don Manifold believes that the nature of business can change at a moment’s notice, and you must be ready to adapt with it. The same is true for your career. You should always be looking to expand your skill set with every opportunity. In addition, you need to be able to adapt to any new role that come at you.
Don has worked with new clients who had different visions for their future, but their operations were spread across four different locations. His roles included managing their marketing and sales, legal and HR issues, strategic planning and the development of their IT infrastructure. He was responsible for the long-term success of this client which was a very challenging task.
Be self-motivated
To succeed in your career you need to have both motivation and the energy to do what it takes to get the results you want. Don Manifold believes individual achievement is of far greater importance than belonging to a team. When you want to be a leader, you must be prepared for failure at the outset which means there is no guarantee of success.
Plan Ahead
In a working environment, if you have something coming up in a month and you know that you don’t have the knowledge or ability to complete it, what do you do? The answer is simple: plan ahead. Don believes it is important to work smarter than harder and set your mind on what needs to be done and organize yourself to get it done. Along with the planning comes schedule setting.
The journey to his greatness began in Adelaide, Australia. This however haven’t stopped him from being a well-known executive in the Australian business sector.
