Desiree Perez’s M.I.A (Made in America) Festival, scheduled for 2021, will be the first of its kind to take over the entire City of Philadelphia. The festival, expected to draw 30-40 thousand people per day for three days. It will be a cultural movement geared toward celebrating diversity and bringing together artists from all experiences to create an inclusive environment for all music lovers.

According to Perez, the ticket holder will need to present proof of vaccination or a negative test for COVID-19. Those who cannot be vaccinated or give a negative test will take a rapid test at festival gates.

1. Register with CLEAR’s Health Pass App
2. Get a photo of your ticket on your phone (or use the one provided).
3. Sit down at any open CLEAR’s Health Pass station, request entry with their app, and scan the Q.R. code on their screen.
Jay Z and Desiree Perez created the music festival called Made in America. It features five stages and a mix of hip hop, pop-rock, and electronic music. Headliners include Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Beiber. Roc Nation and Made in America are following the trends of other major concert promoters., including Coachella and Stagecoach. They required event attendees to comply with vaccination and mask mandates. The news comes as Lollapalooza’s organizers are coming under fire for not requiring masks or proof of vaccination during the festival.
In the end, Desiree Perez hopes that the festival will succeed and looks forward to creating something special for Philadelphia. She wants to make this festival one for the history books and create an unforgettable experience that everyone in attendance will never forget.
