Alliance Defending Freedom is a company that launched by leaders within the Christian community in 1994, initially as Alliance Defense Fund. Contrary to belief, this organization does not only cater to clients Christians, but it also aids to those with religious affiliations such as Mormons, Jews, and people with no faith affiliation at all. This organization supports the sanctity of human life, freedom of speech, parental rights, religious freedoms and more.
In regard to religious freedom, Alliance Defending Freedom supports the right to explore one of life’s deepest questions, “What do I believe in?”. When it comes to free speech, the organization’s center for Academic Freedom has obtained hundreds of victories that protect the free-speech rights of students. Then, ADF works to defend the sanctity of human life by ensuring that women and their children are protected. Which brings us to Alliance Defending Freedom’s support of parental rights.
They do their best to guarantee the rights of children and their parents regarding their health and their upbringing. Finally, Alliance Defending Freedom advocates for the Supreme Court within the United States. Through various different roles, ADF has assisted in 74 Supreme Court victories. This included the victories when Planned Parenthood v. Casey and Roe v. Wade were overturned. These were victories for life. Furthermore, ADF was highly honored to have the opportunity to aid Mississippi in their draft of the Gestational Age Act.
Alliance Defending Freedom is not only connected to the United States either, ADF International is also a respected organization that works to decline genocide against Shia Muslims, Yazidis and other religious minorities. They engage in legal advocacy along with a large number of additional partners all across the globe.
